Rob Williams – Jazz Vibe

Rob Williams makes his debut with this solid slab of uncompromising Disco House!  The young Welsh man has dropped out of the ether with a bouncy nod to the “vocal talkie bits” in a breakdown, often serving as a call to arms directed into the ears of the ravers on the floor.  For another example see, ‘Lost N Alive – Every Thing I play’.

What “Jazz Vibe” lacks in ‘epic-ness’ it makes up for in crafted production.  You could bung this in mid set just before peek hour and sit back and watch the drug hounds gobble it up.  Also remember we are dealing with a first time producer on one of his first official releases. The deep funky churning bass is a glory to be hold, and the lyrics will cut through the air like an experienced waiter at a mask ball, bound to enlighten the most incorruptible off wall flowers.  I do find it slightly funny that Jazz, a music style that so quickly throws of the shackles of general musical rules of any kind, has been conveyed within the strictly formulaic heavily produced world of house music.

A very well deserved well done to @Rob_Williams_DJ, as he put it “I dropped under the radar for while to focus on production” and at www.veryfunkyrecords.com we are glad he did.  A plethora of new releases are on the way and various signings from numerous labels confirm his talents.
