It’s No Coincidence I’ve Come…

In America around this time of year ‘Black Friday’ is a shopping day that turns normal everyday human beings into rampant bargain hunting morons who will stop at nothing to consume and save and barge and rampage and charge and continue until everything in the store has gone.  In Wales, Swansea the so called, “second city of Wales”, ‘Black Friday’ is slightly different, but none the less crazy.  The last office day before Christmas, working people who never venture into a pub the rest of the year decide it’s time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with more alcohol than ‘Jack Daniels’ can stuff into a Barrel.  The bar staff  working at venues and pubs hate it, if you’re a bouncer you will probably be involved in a fight.   DJ’s love it, the whole night is madness, the clubs are jam packed and local fat cat bar owners rub their hands with glee as money is literally poured from bottles into their pockets.  Two different events but still the underlining ludicrousness is a prominent feature, long overshadowing the original intentions for both days – Bargains – Drinking – respectively!  I thought it appropriate then that we look at a number of rmx’s of Gnarl Barkley’s ‘Crazy’ as many lyrics in this song could be attributed to people reliving their Black Friday experience.

Real Black Friday footage – USA

If you watch ‘South Park’ then you may be aware of the recent and may I say epic “Black Friday trilogy”. Some how creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker manage to lampoon Black Friday,  the recent XBOX 1 and PlayStation 4 battle and at the same time link it all with Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
